About Quotafix
What we do
Quotafix helps people escape Google's 15GB storage trap without paying for Google One. We review, compare, and recommend cloud storage services — with a focus on privacy, value for money, and one-time-payment plans.
Why this site exists
Google's free tier hasn't grown since 2013. Meanwhile, Gmail attachments, Drive files, and Photos backups keep getting bigger. When you hit 15GB, Google's answer is a monthly subscription that gets more expensive every year. We think there are better options — and we'll show you which ones actually deliver.
Who runs it
Quotafix is operated by FABWIND LDA, a small software company registered in Portugal. We're based in the EU, which matters if you care about data protection and privacy.
How we test
Every service we recommend goes through the same review process:
- Hands-on testing — we create a real account, upload real files, and use the service for weeks before writing about it.
- Privacy and jurisdiction — we check where the company is based, whether encryption is zero-knowledge, and what happens to your data if the service shuts down.
- Total cost over 3 years — monthly pricing is easy to compare; we calculate what you'd actually pay over time, including price increases.
- Migration path — how easy is it to move your data in? How easy is it to get your data back out if you change your mind?
How we make money
We're reader-supported. Many of our outbound links are affiliate links — when you buy through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend services we've tested and would pay for ourselves. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
What we don't do
- We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party trackers.
- We don't recommend services we haven't used.
- We don't write sponsored content that isn't clearly marked as sponsored.
- We don't sell your email address.
