What this policy covers

This policy explains what data we collect when you visit quotafix.com, how we use affiliate tracking cookies, and your rights under the GDPR and similar regulations.

Data we collect

We collect minimal data needed to operate the site:

  • Server logs — IP address, user agent, referrer, and pages visited. Retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
  • Affiliate click tracking — when you click an affiliate link (any URL starting with /go/), we log the click with a hashed version of your IP address, your user agent, and the page you came from. Raw IPs are never stored. Retention: 180 days.
  • Email address — only if you voluntarily submit one (for example, to receive our migration checklist PDF). Stored by our email provider, Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Affiliate links and tracking

Quotafix is reader-supported. Some outbound links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking them — at no extra cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

When you click an affiliate link, two things happen:

  1. We log the click in our own database (hashed IP, as described above) so we can measure which recommendations are useful.
  2. You are redirected to the partner's website, which may set its own cookies to attribute the sale back to us. We do not control these third-party cookies.

Cookies we set

We set a small number of first-party cookies:

  • Consent cookie — records your cookie preferences. Required for the site to function.
  • Session cookie — used only if you log into any account feature.

We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party analytics on quotafix.com.

Third-party services

  • Vercel — hosting (EU region).
  • Upstash Redis — affiliate click counters and hashed log entries.
  • Resend — transactional email, if you request the PDF.
  • Affiliate partners — when you click an outbound link, the partner's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export any data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Email privacy@quotafix.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Data transfers

Quotafix is hosted in the EU. Some of our affiliate partners and Resend may process data outside the EU under standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

We will update the "last updated" date at the top whenever this policy changes materially. Substantial changes will be announced via a banner on the site.
